Travel to Kumamoto
The flight time between Tokyo and Kumamoto is 100 minutes, and that
between Kansai (Osaka) and Kumamoto is 60 minutes. The Japan Rail Pass allows unlimited
travel on the entire nationwide Japan Railway (JR) network, including Shinkansen (bullet
train), and is a reasonable price (28,300 yen / 7 days). Japan Rail Pass must be purchased
outside Japan
